Living Room Makeover of Your Atlanta Apartment

If you need a makeover in your life, a new hairstyle or some new makeup might do the trick. If you need a makeover in your Atlanta apartment, you are likely to get the most effect by rearranging the living room.
In a house, the living room is usually the most rearranged, mainly due to its area, one of the largest if not the largest space. It also has smaller, more movable furnishings compared to say, a big, heavy bed or a dining table. Except when your living room is really small, you have more options in rearranging the furnishings than the other rooms in your Atlanta apartment.
If you have not tried a living room makeover before, why not schedule one on a weekend? Before that, get some help if there is no one at home to help move the heavy furnishings. Make some sketches (there are computer software for this) of the possible rearrangements. See if you will need to empty the room first then bring them back according to the rearrangement you have planned. Why don’t you try these?
· Arrange your furniture for more convenience during conversations by positioning them so that those who are seated need not yell at or twist to face the other people seated in the other chairs.
· Identify your paths around the living room. It’s the way you go from the entryway to the most frequent destination in your living room. Keep that path clear so that you can move around your Atlanta apartment living room fast without bumping on the furniture.
· Let some of your Atlanta apartment “breath” on all sides by placing them at a distance away from the walls. Try positioning them at an angle from the wall. If it feels right, then let them remain as is for sometime or until you decide on another makeover.
Is There a Fireplace in Your Atlanta Apartment?
Fireplaces, more often than not, bring back fond memories since they are mostly used during the cold season when Christmas, Thanksgiving and other important family holidays or reunions are held. Looking at the crackling fire only brings back fond memories of the warmth you felt after being out in the cold or the taste of newly roasted marshmallows - that is, if you are not responsible for cleaning the fireplace.
Cleaning a fireplace is a messy job because of the soot, dirty ashes and other debris that have to be taken out. In fact I did not use it for a whole winter. But you can’t just let your fireplace appear like a dark hollow box especially when there’s a holiday party.
Actually, a fireplace can still be your living room’s major attraction even without a real fire anymore. You can arrange some firewood and lighted candles with holders especially designed for fireplaces. You can even add some flower arrangements in your fireplace. If you really want a fireplace your guests would talk about, you may add some pottery items, African masks and other items that look good with firewood and lighted candles.
With your creativity, your can have an interesting Atlanta apartment fireplace without enduring the messy task of taking out the ashes.
